Everyone needs a little tension and excitement to keep life interesting, but frequent stress can take up a lot of your energy, and may jeopardize your health. Your stress level may raise your blood pressure, make your immune system less efficient so you get sick more often, and increase your risk of heart attack. Severe Stress would hurt your relationships and then bring many negatives to your social life.
Unfortunately, with the dramatic changes in Chinese social/economic life, the threat of stress is becoming more and more serious. In 2003, Beijing Zero Investigation Company did an on-line stress survey among 415 office people at the age of 20-50 in Beijing. The output report shows that 41.1% of them were under severe stress, and 61.5% suffered from mental tiredness.
Since the professional psychotherapy and psycho-consulting are not widely and easily accessed, we borrow this stress management class from SPRC. This class helps people without any professional psychological background change gradually their unhealthy behaviors as inducements to stress after four-week practices.
